Our Motto

To Know Jesus, and to Make Jesus Known

Our Vision

To reach everyone, everywhere with the glorious gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ

Our Mission

The Ministry's Genesis

Greater Evangelism World Crusade (GEWC) was born out of a divine mandate given to the founding Apostle, G.D. Numbere. It began in the early 1970s as a response to the spiritual hunger of a generation.

From its humble beginnings in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, the ministry has expanded across continents, establishing thousands of branches and impacting millions of lives through crusades, medical outreaches, and educational programs.

Our history is a testament to the faithfulness of God and the power of a single vision to transform societies through the message of repentance and reconciliation with God.

Doctrinal Principles

The doctrinal Principles guiding precepts and practices of the Ministry of Greater Evangelism World Crusade are as follows:

That the Holy Bible, comprising both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)

That in the unity of the Godhead, there are three persons (the Trinity of God the Father, the son, and the Holy Ghost),who are equal in all divine perfection, and execute distinct but harmonious officers in the great work of creation and redemption. (Matt. 28:19, 1John 5:7).

That, salvation is available only by faith, through Jesus Christ, and in the adopted son-ship of the believer. (John 1:12)

The Ministry shall uphold and affirm the sanctity of the sacraments of:

a)Baptism by immersion (Matt. 3:31-16)

b). Baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4);

c).Gifts and operations of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians.12:1-11); and

d). The Holy Communion, in remembrance of the Lord’s Last Supper (1Cor.11:24-29).

The Ministry accepts as immutable truth

a). The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Rapture of the saints (1Thessalonians 4:16) and;

b).  The resurrection of the Dead, and God’s FINAL Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15).

The Legacy of the Pioneer

Apostle Geoffrey Dabibi Numbere was a man of immense spiritual stature. His life was defined by an unwavering commitment to the “Great Commission.” He didn’t just preach the gospel; he lived it, often trekking miles through difficult terrains to reach the unreached.

Known for his profound theological insights and prophetic edge, he laid the doctrinal foundation of GEWC—centering everything on the finished work of Christ and the authority of the Scriptures.

Frequently Asked Questions

The World Headquarters of Greater Evangelism World Crusade is the Temple site, located along International Airport Road, Rukpokwu, PH, Rivers State. Meanwhile, the ministry is still being administered from 43 Isiopko Street, D/Line, Port Harcourt, pending the completion of administrative blocks within the Temple site.

Yes. Our Kum-Ram Bible college (which is an affiliate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria) is open for admission to all who have the call of God and wish to be acquainted with adequate knowledge and training for the fulfillment of their ministries. The college has also proven to be a valuable resource to Christian aid workers, national/international missionaries, and Christian religious study teachers.

Her obvious challenges are those of getting more vehicles, more boats, and more committed/dedicated personnel (sold-out men and women, boys and girls) who could be willing to go wherever there is a soul needing to be reached with the gospel of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

We say this to clearly and consistently reinstate our primary focus of calling, which is to save lives (i.e., win souls) as a pursuit that is in alignment with that of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He said, “For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” [Mark 8:36-37]

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth”. [Colossians 3:1-2]

This ought to be the primary focus of every true minister of Jesus Christ.

Although Jesus died for all, Salvation is for only those who believe in Him. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

The basic things you must do to be saved are as follows:

[1] ACCEPT the fact that every human being (without exception) is a sinner by nature and by action, as a consequence of the fall of Adam, and therefore lost (Genesis 2:7-9, 3:1-19; Isaiah 64:6, 1 John 1:8, Romans 3:23, 5:12-14).

[2] ACCEPT and believe the fact that God, in his Master plan of salvation, gave His Son, Jesus Christ, as a ransom, a scapegoat for the redemption of lost sinners through His death on the cross and resurrection (Isaiah 53:6; Matthew 20:28; 1 Timothy 2:6); and that salvation is found in Jesus alone and in no one else (Matthew 1:18-25; John 3:14-21; Acts 4:10-12, 16:25-31).

[3] REPENT and confess your sins to God and earnestly plead with Him to forgive you and save you from sin (Acts 2:38; 1 John 1:9).

[4] BELIEVE and state that Jesus died to save you from sin and thank Him for it (Acts 2:21; Romans 10:9-11).

[5] ACCEPT Jesus Christ into your heart as Lord and Saviour and by faith believe that He has answered your prayer (2 Corinthians 7:10; Luke 18:9-15; John 1:12-14; Revelation 3:20).

[6] BELIEVE that you are now in Christ a new creation, born again, forgiven, redeemed, and saved, beginning to live a new life (2 Corinthians 5:17; John 3:1-8).

[7] PRAY for the Holy Spirit to dwell in you, guide and teach you, and empower you to live a victorious Christian life (John 14:25-26, 20:19-22; Acts 1:8; 21:1-21; Romans 8:1-7).
